Abstract: |
A programme of geophysical prospection, of a combined area of c.26ha was surveyed by gradiometer. Broad scale magnetic anomalies were detected, indicative of a changing geomorphology. Former ridge and furrow was located across the southern two thirds of the development. Only a small number of possible archaeological features including occasional enclosures, ditches, and pits were identified in five locations in the north, centre and south of the road line. Many ferrous pipelines were also located. [Au(abr)] |
