Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks, at a development site where earlier evaluation had revealed a pit containing iron slag and a sherd of medieval pottery, as well as a system of 19th century field drains. A continuation of this system was recorded during the watching brief. No artefacts pre-dating the 19th century were recovered, and it was noted that deposits had been truncated by school buildings and cut by modern pits and drain trenches. [Au(adp)] |
