Abstract: |
A magnetic susceptibility survey was undertaken following two earlier stages of evaluation on a site proposed for development. The survey responded well to the archaeological features present in the vicinity of the areas investigated during detailed evaluation, and indicated a number of additional pits and other archaeological features likely to be present in the seouht-western corner of the site. The magnetic anomalies detected elsewhere were weaker and less densely distributed. A few features noted in the eastern half of the site were thought likely to be small and sparsely distributed, with no concentrations comparable to those seen near the excavation. [Au(adp)] |
