Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, consisting of the excavaton of three trial trenches (20.32, 55.2, and 28.4 sq.m), was undertaken in advance of the determination of planning permission for the erection of three detached houses and associated access routes. The evaluation recorded no evidence for the Iron Age hillfort within which the site was located, nor for any medieval activity. A line of post holes and a parallel gully were recorded in the area of the proposed new driveway but these appeared to have belonged to a modern fenceline. [Au(adp)] |
