Abstract: |
Salvage recording was undertaken in fields to the south of Tameside Way, near Powick. It located an outfarm dating to the transition period between the medieval open field system and the subsequent Enclosure of the parish which was taking place in the area from the mid-17th century onwards. In addition the site of a substantial quarry related to a brick kiln, of mid-19th century date, was identified. [Au] |
