Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on land thought to have considerable archaeological potential due to its position adjacent to a medieval causeway which ran across the flood plain of the River Arun from the medieval borough of Arundel. A handful of pottery sherds thought to date to the Norman period, and a sherd of delftware were all the archaeological remains revealed. The line of the causeway was not revealed. [AIP] |
