Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment, supported by preliminary field survey, of an area formerly the site of a mine, was undertaken in advance of land reclamation works. Although at least three engine houses, three shafts, two tramway routes, leats, ponds and settling tanks had been documented within the proposal area, the survey identified that no surface structures had survived.
