Abstract: |
The former smokery in Charlestown was being considered for redevelopment as housing. The building comprised a long slate rubble-and brick-built terrace. Perhaps originally, at least in part, a granary, the terrace was divided into six dwellings and an area described as 'cellars and lofts' by 1825. [Au(abr)] |
