Abstract: |
An evaluation was targeted over areas identified in a previous geophysical survey. Eight trenches were excavated and each one contained evidence of post-medieval limestone quarrying that would have removed any earlier archaeological deposits. Two post-medieval lime kilns were recorded, as were two undated shallow archaeological features and an agricultural land boundary ditch, relating to when the site reverted back to agricultural use.
