Abstract: |
The excavation of the base pits confirmed that the mill buildings lay well below the formation level of the development. It was considered likely that 90% of the foundations of both the late-18th century Padsole Mill and the late 19th century Lenworth Mill would have survived under the new development, thus achieving preservation in situ.
