Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken during the groundworks for the three detached residences, which were situated within the boundaries of a multivallate hill fort. The evidence proved consistently minimal or negative. This was considered something of an enigma, as it would be expected that such a monument should have produced some evidence of occupation or, at the least, residual signs of ancient activity.
