Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained along a water pipeline between Trevu and North Country. Two hedge-boundaries situated between Park Bottom and Broad were recorded, and both were found to comprise three phases: an initial low bank, subsequently enlarged with a third phase involving the construction of stone faces onto the west side of the hedges. In the pipeline stretch through the Tolskithy Valley only a few stray finds were recovered including a flint blade and a small iron wheel/cog, whilst in Gilbert's Combe a small adit was uncovered.
