Abstract: |
A fluxgate gradiometer survey was undertaken on c.1.166 hectares of land. This identified a range of magnetic variation much of which reflected known/modern features (boundaries, tracks and pipes) and probable deposits of ferrous/ceramic materials. Linear and rectilinear anomalies were recorded which may have indicated buried ditches, possibly associated with the medieval village. A group of anomalies were detected immediately to the west of an area of modern magnetic disturbance, perhaps indicating pits or burnt material . [Au(abr)] |
