Abstract: |
<summary>A building survey and trial-trenching were undertaken at Paddock Cottage prior to consolidation work. The study identified four phases, beginning possibly in the 17th century. Possibly built in connection with park management, the building's location suggests that its purpose was essentially non-residential. During Phase III (? late 19th century), the building was converted to a dwelling house. The building was abandoned in the early to mid 20th century. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
