Abstract: |
A desk based assessment was undertaken on the sites of two proposed borrow pits. The study established that a number of recorded cropmark sites within the two proposed development sites but only two could be substantiated from the available evidence. The first site comprised a field system and trackway of unknown date whilst the second may be an old quarry. Reference was found to a 'Celtic Farm' supposedly within the New Inn Farm site but no photographic evidence could be located. [Au(abr)] |
