Abstract: |
During the creation of fishing pools preserved wood and 'acorns' were found in a peaty soil deposit at a depth of 2 metres beneath glacial clay. The site, which lay in an area where Palaeolithic axes had been found, was visited but the cutting was by then full of water. The 'acorns' were identified as hazelnuts. [Au] |
