Abstract: |
An evaluation excavation consisting of two trenches was carried out prior to the construction of an extension to a department store. This revealed that 'The Manders Building' and other modern works had heavily disturbed the site. However, a fragment of medieval wall was found to survive in the south eastern part of the site together with 13th century pottery. It was thought possible that further deposits may have survived in the vicinity. [Au] |
