Abstract: |
<summary>This area of Coventry had retained little of its medieval character, 119-124 Spon Street representing the last vestiges of the medieval town planning which characterised the 'new' suburb of Spon. Excavations corroborated documentary research, giving a likely mid 13th century date for the laying-out of the plots, surprisingly little changed up until 1992. The redevelopment of the site resulted in the destruction of the plot/building lines. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}{italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} 5613 |
