Abstract: |
<summary>A single evaluation trench was excavated outside the Old Queen's Head public house - a building incorporating elements of a 16th century timber-framed structure - to investigate the structural history of the building before modernisation works were undertaken. Sections of the footings of the west wall of the building were investigated, allowing their relationship with the structural timbers and subsequent alterations to be detailed. A small fragment of the sill beam for the western wall was revealed. {italon}AIP{italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} 789 |
