Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was carried out. The site contained the partially preserved remains of an industrial landscape which developed during the post-medieval period in response to the ready availability of water for power. Also of significance were later archaeological remains, structures and buildings that were associated with the extensive fire clay industry which occupied the site until relatively recently.
