Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained during groundwork associated with the erection of a new stable block within an existing stable yard at Folkestone Racecourse, Hythe. The site was located within the complex of buildings forming the Scheduled Monument of Westenhanger Castle (County Monument No. 22777). No significant archaeological deposits were disturbed during the groundwork at the site, and in addition no artefacts were recovered from the encountered overburden. [Au(adp)] |
