Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out on trenches dug by North East Water, for the renewal of water pipes, at the site of the Shrunken Medieval Village. No archaeological features were observed. There is the possibility of ridge and furrow on the site but the evidence from the excavation was inconclusive. A few sherds of modern pottery were recovered from the topsoil. [Au(abr)] |
