Abstract:
By positioning the new pole and stay pits on the sites of the originals, no further damage was caused to the underlying archaeology within the Scheduled Monument. In three of the four pits excavated, only re-deposited backfill material from the original poles and stays was encountered, with no new undisturbed archaeology being observed. [Au(adp)]
