Abstract: |
A three trench field evaluation was carried out in advance of the proposed development. The evaluation revealed the foundations of a 19th century brick built building with associated back plot garden soil (trench one) and a 19th century domestic rubbish pit (trench two), also believed to have been located in one of the back plots of a structure fronting onto the pre-dual carriageway Reckleford street frontage. All three trenches revealed a light orange silty clay natural and an overlying soil, probably formed of the time the site was an orchard. [Au(adp)] |
