Abstract: |
The rapid archaeological and historic landscape assessment of the 70ha area of cliff comprised many periods of activity. An artefact scatter of possible Mesolithic date suggested prehistoric activity. The medieval period was identified through two settlements, field systems and a cross. Post-medieval activity was indicated through field systems and buildings. In addition, industrial quarry sites and maritime features were recorded. Recommendations for further work were made.
