Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out at a development site which lay within an area thought to have been the historic core of Sandbach, a town with Saxon origins. Part of the site had been developed prior to the commencement of the watching brief, and the only material found within the two shallow trenches observed was of 19th and early 20th century date. It was concluded that the question of whether or not earlier features existed at deeper levels would for the present remain unresolved. [AIP] |
