Abstract: |
Further geophysical survey was undertaken along the route of the proposed Melbury Abbas Bypass as part of a wider archaeological evaluation. Sixteen sites, mostly located in Dorset but the three northernmost in Wiltshire, were investigated identifying a few anomalies of definite archaeological interest, including several linear and pit type responses, although the majority were of modern or natural origin.
