Abstract: |
Though the watching brief failed to locate any archaeological features or deposits relating to earlier occupation of the site, the presence of a number of struck flint waste flakes, flint cores and several sherds of flint tempered pottery, from across the entire site, clearly indicated the existence of settlement close by.
