Abstract: |
Site investigation was carried out when a wheel of the earthmoving plant broke through the brick arch which capped a denehole/cave beneath below a thin layer of overburden material. Probes revealed shallow adits possibly extending from the main void, but these adits were either poorly backfilled or infilled with collapse material. It was proposed that the void be backfilled.
