Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks for a car park and extension. Roman remains found near the site included a villa, a road, a building and a tile kiln. Two long barrows and an Iron Age pit had also been recorded. During the watching brief, plough marks were observed and fragments of Roman tile and early modern to modern pottery were recovered.
