Abstract: |
The watching brief undertaken at the St Mawgan in Pydar church identified that the church retained evidence of a cruciform church built in the 13th century. It was thought to have been an early medieval ecclesiastical site, but no evidence of this was found during excavations. Details of 17 graves containing at least 20 individuals were recorded which post dated the 13th century building and predated the 1861-62 building of the vestry. [Au(adp)] |
