Abstract: |
The watching brief took place during the construction of a gymnasium, which involved the ground reduction of two areas. These revealed a sequence of tarmac, modern dumped make-up layers, post-medieval gardens soil layers and natural brickearth. A single 18th century ditch was revealed, along with three large, 19th century brick soakaways. A small collection of post-medieval clay pies and pottery was recorded from the ditch and the garden soil. [Au] |
