Abstract: |
Monitoring of post hole, cable trenching and lamp post settings yielded no archaeological features. However, the excavation of deeper drop bollard holes revealed evidence of post medieval and medieval activity. A late post-medieval wall was located in one hole, as well as a probable medieval deposit in all three. This yielded various finds of 13th to 15th century pottery. Due to the limited nature of the excavation, it was not possible to establish whether this deposit represented a layer or the fill of a large feature. [Au(abr)] |
