Abstract: |
During the course of the watching brief the trenches revealed no identifiable archaeological deposits from the Roman or earlier periods. In view of the absence of finds from this and the 'Operation Pluto' site to the north, it appeared that the known sites to the north and south were not part of a major and extensive site on the west bank of the Stour. The major feature identified in the present works was the earlier metalling beneath the line of Bramble Lane and Harville Road.[Au(abr)] |
