Abstract: |
The assessment concluded that archaeological remains may well have existed within the development area. Previous archaeological investigations in the vicinity had uncovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval remains. Although the construction of a warehouse in the 20th century would have disturbed a large part of the site, it was thought that intrusive investigations could characterize the nature and extent of any pockets of surviving archaeology.
