Abstract: |
An evaluation excavation was undertaken within an area of known high archaeological potential with significant remains of Late Iron Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods within a few kilometres of the site. There was no evidence for any activity on the site prior to the medieval period. No earlier residual artefacts were encountered in any of the deposits or located in topsoil. The site appeared to be clear of deposits or features of any antiquity. [Au(abr)] |
