Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based study identified that the proposal area was settled in Late Prehistoric and Roman times with settlement sites to west and east, and two artefact find sites located closer. Aerial photographs showed the former presence of ridge and furrow earthworks and a possible 3-sided enclosure was visible as a soilmark. It was also suggested that the Roman road along the Soar Valley passed through the proposal area. [AIP] |
