Abstract: |
A total of forty five trenches were excavated, 44 30m x 1.5m, and one open area trench that measured 10m x 10m. The work was undertaken in two phases, in March and July 2003. No significant surviving archaeological features were observed within any of the trenches excavate within the three areas, A, B and C. The only artefacts found were of 19th/20th century date. Prior to enclosure the area appeared to be poorly drained 'barren commons'. [Au(adp)] |
