Abstract: |
An excavation was carried out following a desk top study and evaluation. Similar dumps of modern material and flood deposits were found as in the previous investigation, though there was no further evidence of the ornate iron gates found then. The excavations revealed the whole of the original floor structure to be intact, and showed how the spring overflowed to an external drain once the water tank was filled. [Au(abr)] |
