Abstract: |
Nearly 49 hectareas under threat from gravel extraction was available for fieldwalking. Remarkably liitle material was produced, flint being the single category of artefact recovered, with a total of 101 pieces (a density of a little over two artefacts per hectare). Three main concentrations were identified which together seemed to indicate a single focus of activity. Preliminary study of the flint assemblage suugested a date range between the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age periods. [Au(abr)] |
