Abstract:		 <summary2>A watching brief was undertaken during foundation work on development plots. Previous work in the vicinity had identified Roman activity in the form of a series of enclosures, pottery production and some domestic settlement. During the watching brief no evidence was forthcoming to suggest that the area had been extensively settled during the Roman period. The area may have been in agricultural use throughout the Romano-British and Medieval periods. {italon}AIP{italoff}
