Abstract: |
A number of medieval pits were recorded, dating from 12th-16th centuries, whose function is uncertain although several may pertain to the documented use of the site as an orchard in late medieval times. A ditch recorded on the western boundary of the site corresponds to a documented boundary that defined the rear extents on medieval properties flanking Kingsgate Street. [Au(abr)] |
