Abstract:		 The lack of development, subsequent to the demolition of the Blonk Steel Works, indicated that there was a high potential for the survival of subsurface archaeological features, including remains of the cementation and crucible furnaces. Such features, when surviving in good condition, had been considered worthy of preservation in situ in similar sites in Sheffield. [Au(abr)]
