Abstract: |
Desk-based archaeological assessment showed that while some medieval and earlier occupation was possible on the site at Vicar Lane/Church Walk, its extent and nature were open to question. The assessment showed that the two adjacent areas considered had very different recent histories, modern buildings having resulted in Area A being archaeologically denuded while Area B was almost untouched.
