Abstract: |
<summary>Following inconclusive geophysical survey, a small trench was excavated in response to a development proposal affecting a site in close proximity to Lamel Hill cemetery. The cutting of a land drain, at a date no earlier than the late 18th century, was the first archaeologically attested human intervention. Also uncovered was part of a structure with a decorative tiled floor, and three pet graves of 19th/20th century date. No human burials were located, and it was considered likely that the site lay outside the Lamel Hill area cemetery. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
