Abstract: |
A desk based assessment of Linnyshaw Moss identified the area as being an ancient landscape which was only reclaimed for agriculture in the 19th century. All the features identified were of this period, or later. However, references to Roman finds and the survival of shallow peat deposits in the vicinity suggested that there was potential for prehistoric and Roman archaeology in the area. [Au(abr)] |
