Abstract: |
The site lay within an area that contained a series of irregular earthworks. A shallow, bowl-shaped depression was found cut into the natural geology. This was filled with burnt material, and probably represented the remains of a man-made hollow to seat a fire or hearth. A single sherd of Late Bronze Age Pottery broadly dated the fill to 1400-600BC. An assemblage of 13th-14th century pottery was also recovered. [Au(adp)] |
