Abstract: |
During the course of the watching brief it was observed that the higher levels of the site had been disturbed by modern services and resurfacing. During the construction work only material of the 19th century and later was disturbed, the main elements being the remains of the Barnstaple Quay railway station, a cobbled surface adjacent to St Anne Walk and drainage features possibily associated with the Fish Market.[Au(abr)] |
