Abstract: |
A clay-bonded limestone wall was found to the east of the west wall of King John's Palace. Its western edge continued under a 20th century rebuild of the west wall of King John's Palace. It was cut by a large drain feature which probably dated from the 19th century. The drain ran up to the wall of King John's Palace but did not go through it. [Au] |
