Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of groundworks for a sports hall and access road. A pit containing Roman pottery had been noted at the site in 1889. During the watching brief, a large ovoid hollow was observed. It was concluded that any archaeological deposits originally present would have been removed by 20th century terracing. [AIP] |
